Midwest Church Basement Dinner
Description of Donation: |
Returning for a second year (by popular demand) - Take yourself back to the 1950's with authentic comfort food from an Iowa Methodist church basement potluck dinner. Green bean casserole with mushroom soup sauce and onion rings, scalloped potatoes, scalloped corn, meatloaf with eggs and ketchup topping, tuna hot dish, Jell-O with fruit cocktail and Dream Whip, marble Bundt cake -- those are the dishes we're talking about here. The date is the same as the Women's Retreat, so Mark is doing it all (Esther again refuses to have anything to do with such an idea). Perfect event for folks who want some home cooking that weekend, but can't get it at home. Wine will be on the table for those who don't want to be too authentic.

The response to last year's Midwest Church Basement Dinner was very enthusiastic - some attendees wanted to come back this year.
