An introduction to Amaro, an Italian digestive, or alcohol infused with secret blends of roots, herbs, and spices, that transforms cocktails, opens palettes, improves health and will blow your mind. There are hundreds of kinds of amari that vary from sweet holiday spice to bracingly bitter flavors. Each one is surprisingly different with layers of smells and flavors to unpack. In this one hour tasting, we will sample five amari, ranging from Campari, the most well known, to more rare and unusual styles. We will explore their flavors, origins, and how to use them in cocktails. |
