Movie Night: "CODA"

Description of Donation: |
Enjoy the critically acclaimed film, “CODA”, the coming-of-age story that follows a hearing teenage girl who is the child of deaf adults (CODA). Her parents and older brother are Deaf. This film provides a glimpse at the bicultural and bilingual issues that occur as well as the love that holds this family together. “CODA” has been nominated for many awards, including the upcoming Golden Globe for Best Picture. We’ll provide a big-screen TV and snacks and beverages. There will be time for discussion following the film. We will follow the UUCSS safety guidelines, and reschedule if the original date proves to be too risky for safely gathering. Each bid is for one person. |
