| Description of Donation: |
I will demonstrate making unscented castile soap. This is a mild, vegan soap. Participants will get a 2 ounce bar to take home (plus the “recipe” and enough lye for one batch if desired). This will be an outdoor event. Lye is a key ingredient but is very caustic. Adults only. Participants will watch but not handle the lye or other ingredients and must be willing to heed my cautions. One part of the process takes about 20 minutes and can get tedious. Not for those who are quickly bored or those who are super sensitive to fumes (won’t be particularly significant outdoors). |
