Join members of the racial justice task force for a viewing and casual discussion of “One Night in Miami.” Movie snacks and beverages will be provided! Here’s a description of the film: “Regina King’s directorial debut gives a fictionalized account of one incredible night where cultural icons became historic leaders. It’s February 25th, 1964, and Muhammad Ali (then Cassius Clay), Malcolm X, Sam Cooke, and Jim Brown are gathered in Miami for Clay’s big fight against Sonny Liston. The four clash and come together while discussing their roles in the Civil Rights Movement and the cultural upheaval of the 1960s.” Each spot is for one adult, May 6 evening |
