David Sedaris is an American humorist, author, and radio contributor. His 1992 NPR broadcast "Santaland Diaries" has become a holiday classic. He has written a number of books of essays that have made the New York Times bestseller list, and his 2000 collection "Me Talk Pretty One Day" won the Thurber Prize for American Humor. His work explores themes of family, middle-class suburban life, homosexuality, drug use, human behavior, and daily life. We'll read together and discuss a number of Sedaris's essays, and possibly listen to a radio broadcast. Tea and nibbles will be served. Indoor event for adults and teens. |
