Who wears sunglasses and a smirk while exploring the historic Patuxent River? You do, if you win a spot on the coveted Third Annual UUCSS Kayak Picnic. The Riggs/Zimmer crew will provide a sumptuous lunch, along with boats, paddles, and Personal Floatation Devices. You bring the attitude and a little muscle power. Swimming is optional, along with searches for sharks' teeth on the river banks. Exact location TBD, but expect to experience the following: herons, osprey, turtles, butterflies, American lotus, water, sun, humor, friendship, and fresh air. |
