Join us for a stroll through wooded areas and rolling meadows at the Nature Forward gardens of Woodend Mansion (previously called the Audubon Nature Center) in Chevy Chase MD. This is a great opportunity to hike around the mansion, surrounding woods, and meadows while enjoying summer blooming native trees, shrubs, and perennial plants. Parking is limited – so CARPOOLING IS ENCOURAGED. We should see lots of birds, pollinators, and other wildlife. The property has many rain gardens and other water conservation features – for those of you who may want ideas for controlling stormwater run-off on your property. After the hike, we will provide a picnic brunch. Each bid is for an individual. |
