Description of Donation: |
Join the Racial Justice Task on a visit to this museum which promises to inspire people to affect change in their communities. It “aspires to illuminate and share the untold, and often overlooked stories of people furthest from opportunity in the Greater Washington D.C. region. Our mission is to tell stories of everyday people making impactful changes, who use their collective power to tackle complex issues and advance a more equitable future for all. While local in nature, these stories are relevant to people and communities across our nation.” Optional lunch (pay-your-own-way) at Busboys and Poets will follow the event. [This event pairs nicely with a visit to the “Before the Bulldozers” walking tour event, which is designed by museum, also offered by the Racial Justice Task Force] Each spot is for one adult. Each adult may bring and supervise up to two children/youth who are happy in a museum environment. |
