Contemplating bell hooks

Description of Donation: Join us for a reading and contemplative discussion of an essay (still to be chosen) by the wise and beloved Black feminist scholar activist, bell hooks. We will read the text aloud, pausing for questions and comments. We will share the texts ahead of time for those who like to read ahead. For kinesthetic learners, or just folks who like to draw, we'll also provide materials and instruction for Zen doodling. Those interested can engage in this mindful and relaxing process as we delve into deep topics. If you have favorite pieces from bell hooks, please bring them too. This event is open for people who already know and admire bell hooks and for those who would like to be introduced to her.
