Equality Maryland Education/Lobby Event SAVE THE DATE: EQUALITY MARYLAND LOBBY DAY Starting around 4pm-5pm until 9pm or so. Monday, February 8, 2010 Annapolis Contact: Cindy Scharf, 301-625-5077, lgbtq@uucss.org The LGBTQA Equality Task Force educates UUCSS members about ways we can become even more welcoming allies to the LGBTQA members of UUCSS & the wider community, which include participation in events outside the church. We cannot succeed without allies helping us to advocate for and educate our legislators about equal protection in all matters governed by civil law. We need you, we need your friends, we need your relatives throughout the entire state of Maryland. Please save the date. This will include a rally in Annapolis and meeting with state legislators to educate them about the importance of equality to our community. And to hear from them about 2010 legislation in Maryland. More details to come. |
