What do you want to cook?
- Description of Donation:
- Kids, have you always wondered how to bake bread, or make a special dish you love? Lets learn together and make a special meal for parents at the same time. Three lucky people in 6th grade or up will plan a vegetarian menu with Alexa, and together we four will make a meal out of all our ideas. If we don't know how to make it, we'll make it up. Families will be invited to eat our creations that night. This event involves 1) some email to figure out our menu 2) parents dropping kids in Rockville, 3) parents and siblings coming to enjoy our repast that night.
Murder mystery dinner in Las Vegas
- Description of Donation:
- "Eat, Drink, & Be Married," a mystery dinner. It's 1997 in Las Vegas. The scene is a tiny wedding chapel surrounded by glitzy gambling casinos. Two young lovers are about to take their vows when the bride's father, who has opposed the marriage, bursts in. A shot rings out & the father of the bride is dead. It's a clear case of murder & you are one of the suspects. The buffet dinner reception proceeds as the mystery unfolds.
English Afternoon Tea in the Lake District of Columbia
- Description of Donation:
- Beverly and Carol will host an elegant Afternoon Tea at Beverly's house in Columbia at 2 p m. The menu will include three kinds of scones served with clotted cream and preserves, three types of tea sandwiches, three sweets and a variety of English teas served in antique teapots. Each participant will receive a copy of Carol Rosen's illustrated 54-page Afternoon Tea Cookbook -- and take home leftovers as well.
