Dinner and Poetry
- Description of Donation:
- Sharon Snyder and Alex Clem host this annual evening supper at their home, along with Marcia Joiner and Jimmy Schreiber. We will break bread together and afterwards, in the glow of the fireplace, share our favorite poems.
Movie night! The English Patient
- Description of Donation:
- The English Patient. Tunisia, World War 2 and the Italian campaign. Back in 1996 this movie won 9 Academy Awards and was nominated for even more. The scenery, acting, directing and score were all so beautiful that 20 years later Rev Liz thought it was time for us to see it again.
Please join Liz and Tim, Alexa and Ken for a Tunisian inspired vegetarian Mezze meal, including deserts and a showing of the film. The party will be at Alexa and Ken's in Rockville on November 5 at 6:30. It is a glorious movie. We want to share it with you.

- Selamat Makan Tujuh: Phyllis Ryder, Tricia Hanson, Sheldon Cohen Our Seventh Indonesian Feast. Enjoy the cuisine of the world's largest archipelago country--Indonesia. Hosted by UUCSSers who once lived on the enchanted island of Bali. Spicy sambals, crunchy krupuk, and other culinary delights. This year, we will include vegetarian options among our dishes. This deinner was much sought after last year, so we've offered it again. Silahkan datang (please come).
