Geology Hike in Rock Creek Park (time TBD)
- Description of Donation:
- This hike, led by geologist Mark McBride, will explore a part of northern Rock Creek Park, but south of last year’s hike. This beautifully wooded area has some ups and downs, but we will stay on trails and roadways, with no rock scrambling. Geological features to be seen include the Laurel Formation diamictite, erosion of the hills and valleys, Cretaceous upland gravels, the Fall Line, and colonial-era flood plain deposits. Each bid is for an individual.

- Description of Donation:
Don’t miss the ever popular “Day of Design with Danielle and Maeve!” This year our own Maeve Waters will join Danielle Levesque for the first time to lend her own twist on joyful creativity. Join them and other UUCSS friends for an afternoon of crafts and art. We will be mostly outside, weather permitting and we’ll provide drinks and snacks. This event is designed for children ages 6-13 (approximately). Each bid is for one child.
