[10:00am] Art museum: Visit to the Hirshhorn Museum of Art
- Description of Donation:
- Join us for an all ages trip to the Hirshhorn Museum of Art, the only Smithsonian Museum dedicated to contemporary art. We’ll meet at 10am and walk around till noon; optional to stay afterwards, wander to other museums nearby, or grab lunch either at a food truck or elsewhere. Metro accessible. Robin Moore Lasky will be your very informal guide. There is no agenda for which shows we will see; bring your interests and curiosity. Masks/distancing or whatever guidelines allow. Located on the DC National mall, admission is normally free.

[7:00pm-10:00pm] Movie Night: "CODA"
- Description of Donation:
- Enjoy the critically acclaimed film, “CODA”, the coming-of-age story that follows a hearing teenage girl who is the child of deaf adults (CODA). Her parents and older brother are Deaf. This film provides a glimpse at the bicultural and bilingual issues that occur as well as the love that holds this family together. “CODA” has been nominated for many awards, including the upcoming Golden Globe for Best Picture. We’ll provide a big-screen TV and snacks and beverages. There will be time for discussion following the film. We will follow the UUCSS safety guidelines, and reschedule if the original date proves to be too risky for safely gathering. Each bid is for one person.
