Tree Talk: Identification and Storytelling
- Description of Donation:
- Trees are our friends. On Saturday, April 2, let's walk around Parkside Condominium in (north) Bethesda and learn about trees together. The amazing Parkside Green Committee created a tree tour of the 69 acre community that borders Rock Creek Park. Let's walk the property together, identify the trees, and tell stories and share knowledge about them, maybe take rubbings or collect leaves. Then let's get back together on Saturday, October 1, 2022 and do it again to see how the trees have changed. Share your knowledge of and stories about trees along the way!
Saturday Afternoon at the Movies
- Description of Donation:
- Spend a Saturday afternoon in April with homemade soup, crusty bread, and a little sweet. Watch and discuss the inspirational movie, THE PIECES I AM. In this movie, the late Toni Morrison, legendary storyteller, examines her life, her works and the powerful themes she has confronted throughout her literary career. This gathering will be in Columbia. In case of Covid restrictions, Carolyn and Beverly will try to change the date to a safer time OR deliver the lunch items to the church parking lot.

- Description of Donation:
- Before running your Saturday errands, treat yourself to a Saturday brunch! An in-person event hosted by Pat Scheid. Each is bid for an individual.
If we are not able to be together indoors due to Covid restrictions, I'll postpone the brunch.
