Try out a brand new Augmented Reality mobile game with its creator! Bob Hirshon leads up to 12 lucky bidders on a journey into an interdimensional Venn Space near the Washington Monument. You'll identify, collect and isolate extra-dimensional mushrooms, despite attempts by alien Vores to thwart you. Then you'll explore areas of scientific interest in the area. Developed with guidance from National Park staff, through a grant from the National Science Foundation.

Join us for an all ages trip to Glenstone, a museum of contemporary art in Potomac, MD. We’ll meet at 10am at the Rockville metro station and take the Ride-On bus to the museum, where we will walk around their indoor and outdoor exhibits till 1 pm; optional to stay later. Masked/distancing, and their wonderful cafe may or may not be open. This is also an amazing place to see acres of native plant landscaping and terrific architecture. Robin Moore Lasky will be your very informal guide. There is no agenda for which shows we will see; bring your interests and curiosity. Accessible, be prepared for some distance (1-2 miles)

Join us for a stroll on the Sligo Creek Trail and through adjacent neighborhoods, making stops at UUCSS friends’ home for treats and conversation. We’ll begin at the home of Kathryn and Steve Leete and make stops at Robin and Mike Lasky’s and Brian Livelsberger and Gulnar Nagashybayeva’s homes. We’ll then swing by Nicole Levesque’s home and end up back at the Leete’s. We’ll be in the portion of the Sligo Creek trail between Colesville Road and Dennis Ave. Approximately 3 miles of easy walking.

Spend an afternoon discovering plants, trees and the life surrounding them with a leisure walk at this local treasure. Whether you're a first-time or regular visitor, you are sure to enjoy the sights, sounds and scents. Includes light snacks. Carpool or metro use will be encouraged

We'll gather in our driveway and yard to share a picnic and play croquet. If those who attend are up for it I'll even bring out the lawn darts. These are my gran's so they're the original design (picture is included). We'll have sandwiches, pasta salad, potato salad, fruit, crudite and my mom's coconut cake. Exact menu will be determined when I've talked with the bidders. I can cook for vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, dairy free and nut allergies.
This depends on good weather. If we get rained out on May 21 the alternate date is June 7. Each spot is for an adult. Children are welcome to come with their parents. Everyone will have access to come into the house to use the rest room.

Join me for a 5-mile moderate hike on Sugarloaf’s ‘blue’ trail. The wonderful White Rocks overlook is a stop on that trail that many people often overlook… Hiking shoes highly recommended (as opposed to sneakers.) There are a few rocky uphill places on the trail.
We will meet at the West View parking area at 9 am. Approximately 3.5 hour hike. Trail snacks provided. Sugarloaf Mountain is in Dickerson, MD, around 38 miles from UUCSS. (Available for 5 adults.)

What is that silly-named game about? Pickleball is a sport at the intersection of tennis, badminton and ping-pong. It’s played with a modified tennis net on a badminton court, with a racket about double the size of a ping pong paddle. Now is your chance to have a Pickleball experience. Jim and Lynn will teach you the basics and then we’ll play a couple of game. Most likely we’ll play outside. But, if the outdoor courts aren’t available due to renovation, we’ll play inside. If only the indoor courts are available, we will postpone the event if Covid rates do not allow us to meet indoors per UUCSS guidelines.

Come again for a midweek walk with Carolyn and Beverly on the Historical Ellicott City/Baltimore Trolley Line #9 Trail, a 1.25-mile trail in western Baltimore County, Maryland. It extends from Catonsville through Oella to Main Street, Ellicott City, with a stream and its little waterfalls, old trees, scenic views. Connected to the Trolly Trail is the Banneker Trail for an extra half mile of more Maryland history.
Parking available at the ends of the trails. Followed by a light lunch on Beverly’s lakefront deck in downtown Columbia.

Take a trip to the Harriet Tubman Museum on the Eastern Shore with us and "immerse [yourselves] in the secret networks of the Underground Railroad and Tubman’s own daring rescue missions." We'll secure the tickets and provide a light picnic lunch. (This is stop #13 out of 45 historically significant stops on the Tubman Byway; you could make this part of a self-guided driving tour if you like.)
